I've just spoken to Louise, one of the programme's producers. Our piece is now going out on Monday. Louise has decided to use Marcus's interview as the basis for the piece and was very complimentary about his contribution. Somebody from Fathers Quarterly magazine will be in the studio, along with a young dad from Sunderland. She says that 'our' bit will go out at 7.40am and at 8.40am on Monday. Watch that space!!

It is linked to 5 NOCN units and contains 10 modules, most of the contents of which are based on the course we ran successfully for many years in Swindon and the rest of Wiltshire. The blog was started in November 2007 at the beginning of the Dads-Matter-Too film-making project (by Jackie Calderwood, film-maker & media artist) as a way for all involved to communicate to a wider audience.
The Dads want to tell as many people as possible (health-care providers, educators, politicians, other dads and young people) about their concerns, experiences and opinions.

Dads who've been on the U-Too young fathers courses helped to fundraise and plan this film-making project. Well done Gareth and John for getting the film-making project off the ground, and Marcus for leading the bid to extend into a series of media workshops.

I have just watched the BBC's report about you. Excellent stuff. Us women have been harping on about our right to emancipation long enough. It's high time someone supports you young dads; you are so important for a child's development, and a stable society! "Dads matter too" deserves all the funding and attention it can get. I hope this report brings you lots of clout.
