Gareth and John reckon that we ought to meet in Swindon again next month instead of Salisbury. This is because we overspent our budget on Saturday by more than £100. The cost of transport for the Swindon dads, plus partners and children to Salisbury, will cause an even greater overspend, so it makes financial sense to get the Wiltshire dads, plus partners and children to Swindon.
We could have more discussion about the film in the morning, with perhaps some individual interviews, have lunch and then go on to the Oasis, or have another climbing session, this time with partners.
Mike will discuss this with everyone when he meets up with them, but if you see this post and can reply, please do so and let the rest of the group know what you think.

Great idea. Meet up in Swindon again. Prefer too go swimming because the children will get bored.

We think this is a good idea. We reckon the dads should meet again in the morning to do a bit more planning and maybe do some individual interviews. The partners can meet up with the children at the same time and use the play area and have a chat. Then we can all meet up for lunch and go to the Oasis in the afternoon. The dads can take their turn looking after the children and Jackie could do some more filming.

Swindon's fine by me. It'd be good to have a bit more time with the dads to get plans for the film firmed up, and then film some bits with partners & kiddies & swimming. We'll need to get permission for filming in Oasis sorted out beforehand though - would it be part of the public session or a 'private' swim?
I've been to the Oasis and the deal is the same as the Link Centre. So permission to film is sorted - you'll need to pick up the same sort of ID as before. It'll be a public session with the usual proviso that no-one else is filmed. I was told that fewer people use the Oasis in December - Christmas shopping?? - but it is a Saturday afternoon ...
Hi everyone, really glad that you're all up for the change in programme in December. We had a discussion about going swimming or doing the climbing wall again ( with partners). We're glad that swimming is the most popular decision, as partners and kiddies can join in. We did some research and we can go on the day we planned, give the kiddies a good time and show what good dads are we! (Fathers for Justice) Sorry Jackie, couldn't help myself.
Some of us are interested in editing the film and putting music on it. We guess that the editing will take place between the February and March sessions, but this needs sorting with Jackie.
If you're interested in editing but can't get to the December session, please leave a note on the blog.

Yes, Gareth's right - editing will be during February/early March, with final re-editing mid-March (after all your comments on the March meeting day!. Be great to have you involved - we'll probably be using some software called Final Cut Express.
I've spoken to Alex, the musician who worked with the Dads on the last DVD, and sent an email to you via Mike about that.
