Welcome to the blog...

This is it! Dads Matter Too ("It's all your fault!") blog...
Over the next five months young dads from Swindon and Wiltshire will be making a fantastic DVD of their experiences, thoughts and concerns. This is the place to add ideas, share info, and check out how the DVD's progressing.
..watch this space!

If you want to join the blog (so you can write your own 'post' and add photos etc) or just want to leave a message, click on the 'comments' link at the end of any post, and type in your message.

Hello Dads - it's Nicola Balmer here, the project worker who helped with the first dads DVD nearly 2 years ago now - it's great to see you are going to make another film! Am really pleased that you have stayed in touch, hope all your little ones are well - I have my own now, 9 mth little girl - she's gorgeous but then I'm biased! Look forward to seeing the film and am hoping we might have some more projects for you to get involved with, watch this space...

Hi Nicola how’re things? Long time no hear.
I heard you and your partner had an addition to the family so how does it feel to be a mother now and how is your partner coping with the new changes in your lives?
Isn’t it the best experience in the world?
It’s taken a long time for us to get where we are now and I want to take this chance to say thank you for allowing to us access to the last DVD and thank you for giving us Jackie’s number. She has just been an inspiration to us.
I also would like to say if there is anything you see on the blog you like, then feel free to contact us and you will be more than welcome to come and take a back seat for a change!
Speak to you soon.

"We're dads, not hats,
So we can't just take off."

How's that for a motto?

I think the blog is such a good idea because it allows people to keep in touch. Also for other organisations and parents interested in finding out about the project all they have to do is log on . I really liked the photos of the parents and babies .
